Beyond the Studio
When I’m not drawing, you’ll probably find me knee-deep in a craft project with my son, daydreaming about new characters, or rearranging my ever-growing collection of books.

Who Am I
I’m Marina Oliveira, illustrator, surface designer, and professional daydreamer at Cottonflower Studio. True story: I once designed airplanes, meeting with clients to personalize every detail from seat fabrics to cabin colors. These days, instead of jet interiors, I’d much rather dream up dinosaurs on skateboards, teapots with personalities, and patterns that sneak into everyday life.
What I Create
My work has appeared on books, fabrics, packaging, stationery, and home décor, always with a touch of whimsy and storytelling. Half my ideas are brewed in coffee cups, the other half sneak in from doodles and everyday adventures.
My Creative Philosophy
Every day, I feel lucky to have built a career around my art. Creativity for me isn’t just about making art, it’s also about how I evolve and shape my business. Running a creative studio has its challenges, but I genuinely enjoy the process and the possibilities it continues to open in my life.
